where does the time go?

HELLO to you.

So what have I been doing? I wish I could update this thing more with all the rad things I am doing but its just so hard to write about it when I’m so busy doing it!

I am in Noosa right now whch is just a cute beach town, its lovely. Before this I was in Brisbane which I enjoyed a lot, but it was just another city, very nice though. We went to a theme park which was realllllyyy fun, it was based around the ‘movies’ it was called movieworld, crazy. Leathal Weapon gave me temporary brain-damage

Before that I was in Byron Bay which was a surf town with the most cutest shops + was full of beautiful people. We went on a day tour to Nimbin, which was possibly one of the most random days out of my entire life. We went and it was just full of hippies, weird cafes + smelled like weed.

Everyone was just smoking it in the street + selling it, they really don’t care, it’s not legal at all in NSW, but apparently this crazy town just does what it wants.

Lots of people bought cookies + got really high, SO funny.

We went to this random mans house, who like lived in a middle of the rain-forest that he had created, apparently. Everyone just sat around eating water-melon and looked really stoned. HA.

Oh yeah it was pissing it down allllll day. Then we went to a waterfall, it was amazing, I’ve never seen a real one before. I took a few pictures + then did one back to the bus, WET THROUGH I was.

The hostel in Byron was good.  We had our own apartment which we only have to share with 3 other people.  There was two girls, which were awesome, + we hung out with them + 3 other people they were travelling with. Good times.

before that was surf camp, where i attempted to surf, WORST IDEA EVER, and i've had a few!

i nearly drown about 6 times before i gave up + floated about on my board for 90 minutes. I really wanted to be ace at it, and look cool as fuck. NO.

Before that was sydney which was very average, but i did enjoy the bridge, the opera house + darling harbour. SEE FACEBOOK FOR PICTURESSSS.

Currently loving:

Breaking dawn, lipton tea, mars pods, movie nights, cute shops, excursions, but trips, posting things, the beach, actual sunshine, sleeping in.

this song saved my life.

Calm down
Deep breaths
And get yourself dressed instead
Of running around
And pulling all your threads saying
Breaking yourself up

If it's a broken part, replace it
But, if it's a broken arm then brace it
If it's a broken heart then face it

And hold your own
Know your name
And go your own way
Hold your own
Know your own name
And go your own way

And everything will be fine
Everything will be fine

Hang on
Help is on the way
Stay strong
I'm doing everything

Hold your own
Know your name
And go your own way
Hold your own
Know your name
And go your own way

And everything, everything will be fine
Everything

Are the details in the fabric
Are the things that make you panic
Are your thoughts results of static cling?

Are the things that make you blow
Hell, no reason, go on and scream
If you're shocked it's just the fault
Of faulty manufacturing.

Yeah everything will be fine
Everything in no time at all
Everything

Hold your own
And know your name
And go your own way

Are the details in the fabric
Are the things that make you panic
Are your thoughts results of static cling?

Are the details in the fabric
Are the things that make you panic
Is it Mother Nature's sewing machine?

Are the things that make you blow
Hell no reason go on and scream
If you're shocked it's just the fault
Of faulty manufacturing

Everything will be fine
Everything in no time at all
Hearts will hold

Nana

3 weeks ago my mum called me and told me that my Nana had passed away. I am devastated. Me + my Nana were very close, we spent a lot of time together while I was growing up, I have many fond and treasured memories of her. I will never forget here + her wonderful  ways.

Watching diagnosis murder + countdown, every Monday after school for 4 years, every Saturday night when I was a kid, every Christmas morning for a long as I can remember, (everyone used to gather there first in the morning, before attending various parties), her advice, her stories, her love for her family, her kind heart,  her sense of huour, and most of all being the greatest Nana in the world.

I very much almost headed in home when I got the news, I thought about it the whole week leading up to the funeral, but I stayed in Australia, my family said it was where I should be, and that my Nana was so proud of me, and that she wouldn’t have wanted me to leave, I know this is true and not some comfort bullshit. That’s who she was, un-selfish and wanted the best for everyone she loved.

I haven’t cried as much in ages about anything. I feel better now. I just hope my family are doing good. I miss them everyday and I can’t wait to see them again!

This loss had made me realise things. That time really is too short to be falling out, feeling hateful, being cruel, or unforgiving and to truly appreciate the people in your life while they are still here, because they won’t always be.  So from now on, I will follow that, I will forgive and forget, I will make time for the people I love, I will smile, I will laugh it off, I will not bitch, I will not take things for granted, I will make the most of everything.

I’m not saying I’ll never be sad or pissed off, but just more forgiving of it all I guess.

Apologies for the heart-pouring.

XO!

Bye Melbourne, Hello Sydney!

So I’ve spent the last 4 weeks in Melbourne. It has been RAD. Made the nicest friends, especially the YORKSHIREEEEE lot J

I tried getting a job so we could maybe have stayed a bit longer and find somewhere nice to live, DID NOT happen, who said working in Australia was easy? Not me.

We saw some really cool stuff in Melb, we went to the top of the tallest building, and we had a 360 view of the city, it was amazing, we went at sunset, so it was really pretty and then we saw it when it was dark, the city was all lit up, so pretty. I couldn’t believe how big the city is, and it has so many suburbs too, I bet we didn’t even see half it.

Anyway, we left Melbourne early Tuesday morning on our Oz Experience bus, it was freezing! Like England, so depressing.  We set on our way to Sydney, but we made a few stops first. We headed to Wilsons Promontory National Park, which was absolutely beautiful, it had a rain forest which was  so peaceful + lovely, but not only this, It had the most beautiful beach I have ever  seen, seriously. (See facebook soon for pictures)

That evening after a very long day of climbing, walking, travelling + exploring, we had fish + chips down at a local restaurant in a tiny village called Forster, not far from where we were staying at lakes entrance.

Lakes entrance are not quite 5 star accom, (ha) was like something out of a horror movie, like the new Friday the 13th, with less nudity. It was alright, although the hot water run out + found myself using the boys shower (yuk).

Next Day we all arose at 5.30am (double yuk) had breakfast and headed for Thredbo Alpine Village. Another couple of hours away, apparently its Australia’s highest point. It had snow, yes real snow, amazing. We stopped for lunch on the way in the little town, I had the best chilli burger ever, I’m sorry but I just had to tell you about it. We then went on a ski lift to the top of the mountain (almost) it took you about ¾ of the way up, we had to walk the rest……but we didn’t, we just stood about for a bit, took some pictures, and headed back down the mountain. We were in a hurry to bag the best beds in our room. The accom was much better, it had a tv in the room ( I watched dusturbia) + we stole a kettle to make multiple cups of tea.

Had a horrific meal that night, we were still so hungry we were snacking on bread. Had a lovely nights sleep, woke up too late didn’t have time for breakfast, spent the entire journey to or next destination being hungry. Standard.

Next stop Canberra just for a couple of hours before we hit it hard to Sydney. Canberra is like the Truman Show. Completely man-made, constructed purely to be the capital of Australia. Nothing there, but it’s where the big guys hang out, members of parliament and all that. We went into parliament house. It was pretty dull. Don’t care much for politics and stuff like that. My highlight really was the hungry jacks I picked up for the bus, (double whopper w/cheese, I thank you!) Followed by a rather amusing game of Bingo!

Arrived in Sydney 2 days after leaving Melbourne. Its warmer, but a bit of a shit hole.

That night we got a sweet deal on a cruise around the harbors, which was awesome, I saw the opera house, magnificent.

XO!
